Job Title: Warehouse Worker - Metal Scrap Rim Processing

Job Summary: 
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our metal scrap rim processing team. The ideal candidate will efficiently process incoming scrap loads, sort materials, and ensure reusable rims are identified for refinishing. This role requires physical stamina, forklift expertise, basic math skills, and the ability to handle cash transactions. 

Key Responsibilities: 
Processing & Sorting: 
A. Inspect and sort incoming scrap loads into two categories: 
  1. Scrap Metal: Prepare non-reusable rims for recycling. 
  2. Reusable Rims: Identify rims suitable for refinishing and ensure proper storage. 
 B. Conduct quality checks to assess rim conditions (e.g., cracks, bends, corrosion).
 
 Inventory Management: 
  1. Label, weigh, and document sorted materials accurately. 
  2. Update inventory records to track quantities and weights. 
Forklift Operation: 
  1. Safely operate a forklift to load/unload shipments and organize materials. 
  2. Maintain forklift certification and adhere to safety protocols. 
Cash Handling: 
  1. Assist with processing payments for incoming scrap materials (if applicable). 
  2. Calculate weights, quantities, and pricing accurately during transactions. 
Safety & Compliance: 
  1. Follow OSHA guidelines and wear PPE. 
  2. Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace. 
General Duties: 
  1. Assist with warehouse tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and equipment maintenance. 
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 
  • 1+ years in warehouse, manufacturing, or recycling (scrap metal experience a plus). 
  • Valid forklift certification required. 
Skills: 
  • Basic math proficiency (calculations, measurements). 
  • Physical stamina to lift 50–75 lbs repeatedly and stand for 8+ hours. 
  • Attention to detail for accurate sorting and documentation. 
  • Clear communication for team coordination.
